Germany's Munich Airport took 33 years and 10 months to reach the same milestone, followed by Singapore's Changi Airport at 35 years and five months, the South China Morning Post reported.

Japan's Narita International Airport required 39 years and two months, while Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates took 58 years and two months.

Last year, Incheon International Airport handled 74.07 million international passengers and 2.95 million tonnes of international cargo, cementing its position as the world's third-busiest airport for international passengers, after Dubai International Airport and London Heathrow, according to the Airports Council International.
