The American pickleball star visited Vietnam earlier this month and explored Hanoi's Old Quarter, where she tried bun cha (grilled pork with vermicelli) and enjoyed Vietnamese coffee.

She then traveled to Ha Giang by motorbike, visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass and Nho Que River.

"The scenery along the way was unbelievably beautiful, and my driver took such good care of me—treating me like a princess," Bright said in a vlog documenting her journey.

During the trip, she admired the Dong Van Karst Plateau and the turquoise Nho Que River winding between rocky cliffs.

She also visited the "Deadly Rock", a well-known viewpoint featuring sheer cliffs, winding mountain roads and expansive mountain views.

Bright and her friends also stopped at Tham Ma Slope, a famous mountain pass on National Highway 4C that connects tourist attractions across the Dong Van Karst Plateau.

Also known as the "Nine-Bend Slope," the 5-kilometer stretch features nine sharp turns and is popular for its mountain scenery and photo opportunities.

Born in 1999, Bright is an American professional pickleball player who previously played tennis for the University of California, Berkeley. She switched to pickleball in 2022 and quickly gained attention for her aggressive style and powerful backhand shots.

Bright competed on the APP and Major League Pickleball (MLP) circuits before joining the PPA Tour, the world's premier professional pickleball league. She is known for her quick reflexes, consistency and competitive spirit in doubles matches.

She is currently the No.2 ranked women's pickleball player in the world, after Anna Leigh Waters.
