The Michelin Guide released its second global hotel ranking, the Michelin Key, on Sept. 19. After assessments by experts, 21 Vietnamese hotels and resorts were recognized. Two hotels received three Michelin Keys, the highest rating, four received two keys, and 15 received one key.

Amanoi (Khanh Hoa) - 3 Michelin Keys

Amanoi Resort is located inside the Nui Chua National Park in Khanh Hoa, a UNESCO-recognized site around 100 km from Nha Trang beach town. The resort has 44 units with one to five bedrooms, offering lake, mountain, and sea views, private pools and butler service. Each unit is 100 sq.m in size.

Guests can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, and beach picnics.

Capella Hanoi (Hanoi) - 3 Michelin Keys

Capella Hanoi sits on Le Phung Hieu Street, 500 meters from Hoan Kiem Lake. American architect Bill Bensley designed the building, drawing inspiration from the opera houses of the 1920s.

The hotel has 47 rooms, ranging from 35 to 194 square meters, all with balconies. No two rooms share the same design. Through details and decor, each tells its own story about the world of opera artists.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi (Hanoi) - 2 Michelin Keys

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi on Ngo Quyen Street is the capital's oldest hotel, built in 1901. It has risen from one key in 2025 to two this year.

The hotel has two buildings, one at the corner of Ngo Quyen and Le Phung Hieu streets, and the other on Ly Thai To Street. Together they have 364 rooms. The hotel has hosted high-profile guests, including heads of state, royalty, and business tycoons.

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai (Da Nang) - 2 Michelin Keys

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai lies along Ha My Beach, a 10-minute drive away from Hoi An. It has 100 luxury villas, with one to five bedrooms and private pools.

Their design combines central Vietnamese garden houses with modern elements.

Banyan Tree Lang Co (Hue) - 2 Michelin Keys

Situated at the foot of Hai Van Pass, the Laguna Lang Co complex has two resorts, Banyan Tree Lang Co and Angsana Lang Co. Together they have more than 300 rooms, designed with inspiration from traditional Hue architecture but in modern style.

Their 100-odd hillside villas have private pools and offer sea views. The complex also features an 18-hole golf course designed by six-time majors winner Nick Faldo, which ranks among Vietnam’s top 10.

Zannier Bai San Ho (Dak Lak) - 2 Michelin Keys

Zannier Bai San Ho covers nearly one square kilometer, and is surrounded by green hills, rice fields, and a 1.6-kilometer beach. Its 73 villas draw on Vietnamese architecture, such as the wooden houses of fishermen and the bamboo homes familiar to the Ede and Cham peoples.

The interiors use materials such as rattan furniture, linen and silk fabrics for a rustic feel.

Fifteen hotels received one Michelin Key, including eight first-time recipients: Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat - Ninh Binh, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort - Da Nang, Namia River Retreat - Wellness Inclusive Resort - Da Nang, Mai House Saigon Hotel - HCMC, Mia Saigon – Luxury Boutique Hotel - HCMC, Legacy Yen Tu Hotel Uong Bi - MGallery Collection - Quang Ninh, Garrya Mu Cang Chai - Lao Cai, Melia Vinpearl Quang Binh - Quang Tri.

Seven hotels retained their place from last year: Azerai Ke Ga Bay - Lam Dong, Legacy Mekong - Can Tho, Six Senses Con Dao - HCMC, Park Hyatt Saigon - HCMC, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay - Khanh Hoa, Regent Phu Quoc - An Giang, Hotel de la Coupole - MGallery - Lao Cai.

The Michelin Key, regarded as the "Michelin star for the hotel industry," evaluates more than 7,000 hotels in 125 countries.

The properties are assessed on five criteria: excellence in architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, personality and character, value for price, and contribution to the neighborhood or setting.

The criteria focus on the guest experience rather than amenities alone.
