Vietnam joins Singapore among world's 10 safest countries

The ranking reflects the World Economic Forum's assessment of Vietnam's stable, safe and secure socio-political environment amid global volatility and instability, according to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism.

Industry insiders said Vietnam's reputation as a safe destination has helped attract tourists amid global uncertainty fueled by the conflict in the Middle East.

Singapore is known for its strict laws and low crime rates, often hailed as one of the safest countries in Asia.

In contrast, Mexico, Mali and Colombia were ranked the most dangerous countries for tourists.
