The airport offers almost 15,000 possible low-cost connections across 154 destinations, according to OAG which put it on top of the world's 25 best-connected airports for low-cost carrier flights.
Low-cost carriers collectively account for 44% of the airport's capacity.
AirAsia is its largest low-cost airline and operates 34% of flights at the airport.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the largest in Southeast Asia by land area, served 36.7 million passengers in the first seven months of this year, up 3.4% year-on-year, driven by summer travel demand from Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia.
The OAG ranking measures the breadth of low-cost connections available. For travelers, a strong low-cost hub can mean more budget airlines, offering more routes and itinerary options to choose from.
South Korea's Incheon Airport took the second spot, followed by Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.
Barcelona-El Prat Airport ranked fourth and Singapore's Changi completed the top five.
