Indonesian tourist threatens airline staff at Kuala Lumpur airport after flight delayed for five hours

The airport's police chief Assistant Commissioner Ravi Munusamy said the man hurled abusive remarks, issued threats and provoked airline staff on duty on July 27, The Star newspaper reported.

Security personnel intervened and escorted him to the Immigration Department office at Terminal 1 in an attempt to calm the situation.

However, the suspect allegedly became aggressive, behaved inappropriately and refused to comply with instructions from immigration officers, leading to his arrest, New Straits Times reported.

He is being investigated for using insulting language, disobeying a lawful order issued by a public servant, and committing an obscene act in public under Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act, Section 188 of the Penal Code, and Section 294 of the Penal Code, respectively.
