Hanoi's Department of Tourism held a ceremony at Noi Bai International Airport on July 7 to welcome the capital's five millionth international visitor of 2026.

The visitor, a Spanish national, arrived as part of a 19-member tour group on a 16-day trip across Vietnam. The group flew from Madrid on Qatar Airways, transited in Doha, and landed at Noi Bai the same day.

Hanoi aims to welcome more than 9 million foreign arrivals this year and has achieved over half of that target.
