EVA Air, the world's cleanest airline last year, was pushed to the sixth position this year, based on assessments of onboard hygiene standards and quality—evaluating factors such as the cleanliness and condition of seating areas, tray tables and chairs, carpets, cabin panels, and lavatories.

Singapore Airlines ranked in second, followed by ANA All Nippon Airways, Hainan Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways.

The recognition comes as Starlux continues its international expansion, highlighting the airline's commitment to maintaining high service standards while growing its global network, the airline said in a statement.

The airline launched its first South Korea routes from Taipei and Taichung to Busan in June, followed by its first European service between Taipei and Prague in August.

In October, it will add Taipei–Bali flights.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards, often dubbed the "Oscars of the aviation industry", are among the most respected recognitions in global aviation, with the results based on the annual World Airline Survey and the views of travelers worldwide.

The annual world rankings survey was conducted from September 2025 to August 2026, with travelers of more than 100 nationalities rating over 325 airlines.
