In October 2026, the train will debut its imperial suite and suite room classes, costing $64,000 and $32,000 for the eight-day tour.

Guests booking these will travel on the same itinerary as standard cabins, which start around VND200 million ($7,600), but have other privileges.

The most luxurious option, the imperial suite, spans 51 square meters and comprises an entire carriage, equivalent to three standard rooms combined.

Since SJourney operates with only 13 carriages, some will be repurposed starting in October to accommodate the new layouts.

The designs of the two new classes follow the Indochine style, matching the look of the rest of the carriages as well as the train's exterior. Both will include a balcony.

Guests will also get a butler, custom-designed menus, pick-up service, and personalized experiences throughout the journey.

The photo shows the sleeping area of the suite, which measures 17 square meters. Each carriage has two suite rooms.

Besides the sleeping carriages, the train has one kitchen carriage and two dining carriages at either end. The restaurants serve a range of dishes, from Asian to European. The management also plans to launch a premium restaurant reserved for imperial and suite passengers.

The train's corridor is only wide enough for two people to walk to maximize space for the sleeping rooms.

Since launching in December 2024, SJourney has carried over 2,000 passengers. Operating four to six times a month, the train is fully booked during its September-to-April peak season.

It runs two main itineraries: an eight-day journey between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and a four-day tour covering Hanoi-Sa Pa-Ha Long and Ho Chi Minh City-Hoi An.

At each stop, travelers can enjoy local foods and other experiences before boarding again for the next destination.
