On Aug. 2, GB News reported that the couple wants to choose a historic church in Funchal, the capital of Madeira Island, as the venue for their wedding. Following the ceremony, they plan to hold a private reception at the nearby five-star Savoy Palace hotel.
According to The Sun, the Funchal Cathedral has been booked for "a big wedding" at around 3 p.m. this Saturday, based on information from local sources.
Another source revealed that guests at the Savoy Palace have already been informed of the plans for a major private event. Two entire floors of the luxury hotel and several bar areas will be closed off on Aug. 7 and 8 for preparations.

The coastal city of Funchal holds significant meaning for Ronaldo. He experienced a difficult, humble childhood with his family before leaving his hometown at 11 to pursue his football dream at Sporting Lisbon.
Local authorities have honored Ronaldo's achievements with a bronze statue of him on the island.
Previously, rumors circulated that Ronaldo and Rodriguez were planning a wedding at the famous Quinta da Regaleira estate in Sintra, Lisbon, on Aug. 1.
However, that information was quickly dismissed as the estate remained open to regular guests and tourists as usual.
Last week, Ronaldo and Rodriguez were seen wearing matching diamond rings while vacationing on a luxury yacht in Mallorca, fueling speculation that their big day is approaching.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 after eight years of dating.
They raise five children together -- their two biological children Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda, and three children of Ronaldo's from previous arrangements, including his eldest son Cristiano Jr., and twins Mateo and Eva Maria, who were born via surrogacy.
Speaking to El Pais, Rodriguez stated that she doesn't differentiate between her biological children and Ronaldo's, noting that the children all affectionately call her mother.
Ronaldo, 41, remains one of the most famous and recognizable football players in the world.
This year, he once again topped Forbes' list of the 10 highest-paid athletes in the world. His total net worth is currently estimated to be around $1.2 billion.
Rodriguez is an Argentinian social media personality of Spanish descent who has built a successful career of her own.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, she currently has a fortune of over $10 million, generated thanks to her income from modeling, social media advertising and exclusive event appearances.
Ronaldo's family currently resides in Saudi Arabia, having relocated there after the football legend joined Al Nassr in late 2022.
