The Singapore Police Force (SPF) announced on Aug. 13 that these losses have been recorded since the beginning of August and that scammers are taking advantage of the growing demand for the event.

Tickets for the group's "XX:Cosmos" concert went on general sale on Aug. 13, following a fan club pre-sale on Aug. 11.

According to the SPF, victims typically come across advertisements or listings for BIGBANG concert tickets on various online platforms.

Believing the listings to be genuine, victims contact the purported sellers and make advance payments via bank transfer, PayNow, or other payment methods to secure the tickets.

Once the payment is completed, the scammers either become uncontactable or fail to deliver the tickets as promised. Victims only realize they have been defrauded when the tickets never arrive and the sellers vanish.

As part of their 2026-2027 World Tour, BIGBANG is scheduled to perform in Singapore on Oct. 17, 2026, at the National Stadium. The group will then head to Hanoi, Vietnam, for two nights on Oct. 24 and 25, 2026, at My Dinh National Stadium.

Police said they have contacted the second-hand e-commerce platform Carousell, requesting the removal of listings offering concert tickets for resale.

Authorities noted that Facebook Marketplace and TikTok Shop also strictly prohibit content facilitating the buying, selling, or trading of event or concert tickets. The SPF continues to urge the public to stay alert and exercise caution when purchasing concert tickets online.
