The agreement was signed at Bach Mai Hospital by Nguyen Do Bao Chau, General Director of Terumo Vietnam, and Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Tuan Tung, Vice Director of Bach Mai Hospital. Under the agreement, Terumo and Bach Mai Hospital will organize scientific workshops, continuing medical education (CME) programs and hands-on training for physicians.

The activities will involve the Vietnam National Heart Institute, Intensive Care Center, and Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology Center, focusing on diagnostic and treatment techniques in their respective specialties.

Bach Mai Hospital, with more than a century of history, is a special-class general hospital and tertiary referral center for severe and complex cases from provinces across Vietnam.

The partnership aims to strengthen physicians' expertise and support the adoption of new medical techniques, helping manage complex cases and reduce pressure on higher-level referral services.

Founded in Japan more than a century ago, Terumo provides medical products and solutions in more than 160 countries and regions under its mission of "Contributing to Society through Healthcare."

The partnership is part of Terumo's medical education and professional development activities in Vietnam.

Planned activities for 2026-2027 include the Vietnam National Heart Institute's annual international scientific conference, support for coronary functional assessment initiatives, an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) simulation training course, and workshops on coronary and visceral vascular interventions.
