Two women, aged 39 and 54, were also arrested for suspected involvement in the sale of counterfeit goods in the operation conducted last Wednesday at two retail shops in a mall on Scotts Road, according to a police news release. The seized items also include luxury apparel, footwear and accessories.

The offense of possession of goods with falsely applied trademarks for the purpose of trade can result in a fine up to $100,000, five years' jail, or both, the police said, adding that investigations are ongoing.

Scotts Road is located near Singapore's premier Orchard Road shopping belt, which was ranked the 13th most expensive retail street globally based on annual rents in Cushman & Wakefield's Main Streets Across the World 2025 report.

Far East Plaza, Scotts Square and Shaw Center are some of the shopping malls on Scotts Road, according to The Straits Times.
